Training Availability
SOLiD offers a range of value-added training on our GENESIS portfolio to suit all customer needs. Training can be conducted in a variety of different ways on a variety of topics.
Online
SOLiD is pleased to offer online instructor-led courses that cover the current equipment available, overviewing the entire portfolio, capabilities and compliances, through introductory explanation. Customers can also be guided through the NMS aspects of our solution, allowing them to benefit from our control, reporting, alarm set-up and cyber security aspects.
Face to Face
SOLiD’s preference is to offer trainer-led instruction at our UK offices based in Reading. Courses are conducted in a dedicated classroom with the equipment described present to inspire discussion and allow inspection. Face to face at customer location - SOLiD has successfully trained candidates using a dedicated mobile set of equipment (in a reduced set of courses), that may be taken to site to provide a full demonstration at the customers’ choice of location in the EU countries. SOLiD has a number of intensive Face-To-Face specialised courses dependent on the type of candidate and their future requirements. A range of courses are targeted for various aspects, accounting for the candidate role and customer location and requirements. SOLiD is happy to be able to offer training with respect to;
• Connectivity – how the SOLiD portfolio components interface to each other
• Weights and Measures – how each unit looks/size/weight/installation practices
• Providing coverage – output powers, for example deployments
• Integration – commissioning, set-up and upgrades
• Designing for success – understanding configurations, capability, deployments
At the core of the SOLiD training programme is the emphasis on a hands-on approach, encouragement to ask questions about the equipment and communication between the trainer and amongst the candidates to ensure understanding. The objective of the courses is through thorough and complete instruction, to empower the candidates to successfully deploy SOLiD systems in a host of real-world environments.
Whilst the expectation is for candidates to come from an RF and telecoms background, candidates to date have come from many backgrounds from management, NOC operators to installation, field and commissioning engineers and designers.
