GENESIS DAS
Robust, Flexible In-Building
Wireless Technology
GENESIS DAS is a highly adaptable cellular coverage solution designed for sub-3GHz frequencies. The broad frequency range ensures compatibility with diverse operators' needs. The modular structure allows for flexible customization and future-proofing. The system's sector switching and MIMO technology enables seamless connectivity, even in challenging environments, with smooth LTE migration ready for all bands.
The pure modular structure of the headend and remote units (DAU, LRN, MRN, and HRN) gives the flexibility of upgrading/adding/changing service bands without ripping or replacing of the system which is cost-saving in the future.
Flexible, Scalable Architecture
SOLiD’s GENESIS DAS uses standards-based structured cabling for communications and power distribution. Cat 6A and fibre infrastructure deliver both superior performance and a significant economic advantage over traditional ½ inch coax cable.
This means our robust architecture makes efficient use of your infrastructure investment by leveraging your building’s existing plant. GENESIS DAS is both scalable and flexible to meet the requirements of any building or venue.
Less Power More Options.
SOLiD has always led the industry with the broadest portfolio of remote amplifiers. The GENESIS solution continues the tradition by offering a low-power remote node (less than 1W) that pushes the use of Cat 6A infrastructure, beyond the riser, beyond the closet, to the edge. Cat 6A connectivity to the LRN eliminates the need for coax and the associated challenges of material bulk, installer specialisation, RF power distribution, testing, and PIM. Replacing coax with Cat 6A makes installation easier, faster, more secure, and results in better performance.
GENESIS LRN and its flexible, scalable infrastructure elevates traditional DAS thinking. Installations and management of the wireless network are enterprise scoped and more “WiFi-like” than DAS. However, it still performs like a DAS. The GENESIS LRN supports up to four frequency bands per enclosure and can be installed practically anywhere. It can be easily added or relocated to meet building and tenant improvements. With power software tools and robust SOLiD engineering and construction, GENESIS DAS is a perfect plug-in to your building’s tech strategy.
GENESIS Universal Point of Interface
The UPOI is an optional, passive signal attenuator providing up to -20 dB of attenuation. The UPOI is used in cases where the incoming signal exceeds the input threshold of the DAU. It’s a cost effective, small footprint option that saves rack space and engineering efforts.
Features:
Passive, low PIM attenuator
Wideband, module supports 600-3800 MHz
Number of ports matches the number of ports in the DAU
GENESIS Distributed & Aggregation Unit (DAU)
The DAU is the heart of the GENESIS headend, interfacing with the signal source, it distributes signals to the distributed LRNs, HRNs and MRNs. Each DAU supports up to 512 LRNs (or 64 HRNs) across multiple 8 sectors.
Features:
Interfaces with 1 to 24 signal source inputs using wide-band modules
Distributes signals to any combination of Cat 6A or fibre hubs to our LRNs supporting a maximum of 512 LRNs.
Supports two expansion DAUs, local or remote, for more sectors
Each DAU can support multiple sectors and SISO/MIMO configuration.
The DAU can support either single-mode or multi-mode SFP+s.
Commissioning and management through an embedded user interface
GENESIS Distribution RF Unit
The DRFU is the module level component of the DAU. It’s a flexible signal source interface available in specific frequency ranges.
Features:
Interfaces with four signal sources, simplex or duplex inputs
Each input port independent from other ports
Input ports support any combination of signals within the frequency range of the DRFU
700/800/900/1800/2100/2300T/2600/2600T
GENESIS Hub Copper Unit
The HCU distributes data to the LRN via Cat 6A cable. Each HCU supports 8 LRNs. The HCU also provides electric power to the LRN via PoE function. The HCU can support one additional HCU for a total of 8 HCUs per DAU branch.
Features:
Support 8 LRNs with PoE
Star or cascading of HCU (Up to 8 HCUs can be daisy chained)
Long-haul fibre optic link (up to 20km)
GENESIS Low-Power Radio Node
Taking Cat 6A or fibre cable with an integrated antenna, the LRN enables a structured cabling or fibre infrastructure for less installation effort. Small size, flexibility and low infrastructure impact, the LRN is key to providing mobile connectivity to the enterprise and beyond.
Features:
Single LRN supports up to 4 bands
With a modular design, any combination of frequency bands can be supported: Quad band SISO / Dual band 2×2 MIMO/ Single band 4×4 MIMO
Output power is 20 dBm per band
10Gbps over a Cat 6A cable with PoE feature
Integrated antenna and external ports available
Installation Specifications: Wall or ceiling mounting option/ IP50
256 QAM supported
GENESIS High-Power Radio Node
The HRN is for both outdoor and indoor areas and supports up to four bands in a single enclosure. Eight HRNs can be daisy-chain wired with digital link to support eight bands using expansion HRN.
Features:
Support eight bands using expansion HRN over a fibre cable
Optical interface
Modular type. Integrated multiplexer to combine all bands into one antenna
Daisy chain wired up to 8 HRNs within 20km distance
Output power is above 43 dBm per band:
Low-frequency band: 43 dBm / High-frequency band: 46 dBm (considering free-space attenuation)
Wall or pole mounting option
256 QAM support
GENESIS DAS Management System (DMS3000)
GENESIS DMS3000 is a DAS management system that provides an alarming, diagnostic, and control interface for one or more SOLiD GENESIS DAS networks.
Features:
All types of DAS nodes are managed by DMS3000
Automatic detection of DAS nodes and discovery of network topology
Individual alarm control, hysteresis and masking
Active alarm collection and notification features: real-time alarm monitoring and alarm notifications through SMS and e-mails
