SOLiD, in partnership with Freshwave, is pleased to have delivered a seamless mobile signal to landlords and tenants at 22 Bishopsgate. This project required innovation in engineering as well as a collaborative approach to deliver connectivity to one of the most technically advanced buildings in the UK.

22 Bishopsgate is one of London’s tallest buildings at 278m, covering an enormous 2.1m square feet. The site consists of 62 floors and includes 3 basement levels. With 96% of the 1.29m square feet of office space already connected, WiredScore has given the location its highest possible certification with a Platinum award.

This project required a high degree of collaboration with the Bishopsgate team to ensure that the final solution provided the right network for everyone at the site. This resulted in an implementation that delivered connectivity in the common and landlord areas of the building as part of their service to the tenants.

Tenants who want to connect to the DAS solution in their specific offices can opt in at any time. Connectivity is then arranged, deployed and billed by Freshwave with minimal time to activation.

The network provides premium voice and high-speed data for staff, tenants and visitors to the location. This DAS system provides 2G, 3G and 4G connectivity and includes an upgrade path to 5G.

This new Active DAS solution utilises the existing cable to provide a range of benefits to both landlords and tenants at this landmark building. Extensive and reliable connectivity is now expected at smart buildings such as 22 Bishopsgate.
